Brand identity and WordPress website for Women Alert, a national Public Safety Canada campaign working to end firearm-related violence against women in Canada.
Women Alert is a national campaign by Public Safety Canada working to raise awareness and move Canadians to act against firearm-related violence affecting women. My job was to build a brand and a website that communicate that mission clearly, accessibly, and with the right tone for a federal initiative.
The project started with the logo. The branding needed to feel trusted and official while still being warm enough to connect with people going through difficult situations. Once the logo was approved, it drove every other decision: colour palette, typography, and the visual direction for the full site.
I structured the site so visitors could quickly understand the issue, read real stories, and know exactly what to do next. Key pages included:
The visual approach was built around clarity and accessibility. Clean type, consistent spacing, and a bold palette make the content easy to read. A language switcher in the navigation ensures both English and French-speaking Canadians can use the site comfortably.
Built a logo and identity system that feels official enough for a federal campaign, but warm enough to connect with the people it's trying to reach.
Designed and built five key pages in WordPress and Elementor. Each page has a job: move the visitor from understanding the issue to taking action.
Clean layouts and accessible type on every page, with a language switcher so the site works for Canadians regardless of which official language they use.
Integrated Google Analytics and Search Console, with Cloudflare for performance and security.
Wove together stories, blog posts, resources, and take-action prompts in a layout that keeps the message clear and the journey intuitive.
